Beau Thai Raised Another $4,600 for Horton's Kids
We wanted to end 2020 on a very bright note, and we think it's safe to say we accomplished that mission.
Our third annual "Sparkle" campaign -- when we decked out our restaurants with tinsel and lights, donated a portion of sparkling drink sales to and collected customer contributions for Horton's Kids -- raised $4,600 for the Horton’s Kids. That's a total of $26,855 that we've raised for this amazing non-profit.
Horton’s Kids empowers children growing up in one of DC’s most under-resourced communities so that they graduate from high school ready for success in college, career, and life. They serve 500 children in grades K-12 living in Wellington Park, a neighborhood where 80 percent of adults don’t have a high school diploma and the average annual household income is less than $10,000. Horton’s Kids’ goal is to change the life trajectory of children by providing academic, youth development, and health and basic needs. Their impact is dramatic: children in Horton’s Kids are twice as likely to graduate from high school.
