Pride at Beau Thai Benefitting SMYAL

As a part-gay owned business, Beau Thai proudly supports and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly during Pride month. Continuing an important tradition, Beau Thai adorned itself with rainbow colors and raised money for SMYAL this June.

With the support of J. Rieger & Co, Beau Thai developed a pride t-shirt themed “Love is Love.” All proceeds from the sale of this t-shirt went to SMYAL.

Beau Thai also offered a special menu of colorful Pride-themed cocktails, with ten percent of proceeds from these drinks benefitting SMYAL.

In all, Beau Thai raised and donated $1,725 to SMYAL through its efforts.

SMYAL supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth in the Washington, DC, metropolitan region. Through youth leadership, SMYAL creates opportunities for LGBTQ youth to build self-confidence, develop critical life skills, and engage their peers and community through service and advocacy. Committed to social change, SMYAL builds, sustains, and advocates for programs, policies, and services that LGBTQ youth need as they grow into adulthood.
